She and her husband, John, were both pilots and enjoyed designing and building their homes together. She enjoyed her job and had numerous interests, including reading and crocheting. She knitted afghans for all of her family’s babies, and they remain treasured memories to this day. Uba loved life and everyone around her.

She had a superb dry sense of humour and was constantly carrying a candy dish. Her white Christmas cookies were particularly appreciated by the recipients. She has left us with memories that will bring us joy for the rest of our lives. On Sunday, April 16, 2023, Uba was buried in Summit Lawn Cemetery in Brazil, IN, following a private family service.
