Tom Motamed Obituary, Death- In 2009, Mr. Motamed was given the position of chairman and CEO of CNA, and he continued to serve in these capacities up until the time of his retirement in 2016. In 2016, he resigned from his position at the insurance company.
After he retired from CNA, he was named to the board of directors of American International Group Inc. beginning in 2019, however, he submitted his resignation in January due to concerns about his health. This was despite the fact that he had just retired from CNA. Mr. Motamed began working in the insurance industry in 1977 when he joined Chubb Corporation as a claims trainee. This was the beginning of his long and successful career. In this sector of the economy, he has racked up a cumulative total of 45 years of work experience. After steadily climbing the ranks of the corporation, he was eventually promoted to the position of vice chairman and chief operations officer before quitting to take over as the chief executive officer of CNA.
According to a spokesman for the company, CNA will be making a donation to support cancer research in Mr. Motamed’s honor. In a statement, the company CNA said that “the insurance industry has benefitted in countless ways from Tom’s inspired and dedicated leadership over the course of his remarkable 45-year career.” Tom had been with the company CNA for 45 years. The CNA firm was the one who made the remark. Without Tom, everyone will have a hard time moving forward with their plans.
Mr. Motamed was a “steady presence during a critical part of AIG’s turnaround and transformation,” Peter Zaffino, chairman, and CEO of the insurance company, said in a statement. We will miss having Mr. Motamed around. Tom left an indelible mark on the insurance industry as a consequence of his dedication to the insurance agents, brokers, clients, and other partners who benefited from his insights, abilities, and judgment. This dedication allowed Tom to leave an impression on the insurance sector that can never be erased. Tom was able to leave an indelible imprint as a result of his commitment.
