Shannon Corbett Obituary, Death – At the Reproductive Care Centre, Dr. Corbett serves both as a Physician and as a Partner. She spent her childhood in the Niagara area and went on to earn a Bachelor of Science degree with Honors from Queen’s University in Kingston after completing her studies there. After that, she attended McMaster University in Hamilton to complete her education and earn a degree in medicine there.

Dr. Corbett was awarded the title of Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada in the specialty of Obstetrics and Gynecology in the year 2011, following the successful completion of her residency in obstetrics and gynecology at the University of Toronto. Dr. Corbett pursued more education at the University of Ottawa, where she received a specialist certification in gynecologic reproductive endocrinology and infertility. She is a very involved member of the Canadian Fertility and Andrology Society, the Society of Obstetricians and Gynecologists of Canada, the American Society for Reproductive Medicine, the Canadian Medical Association, and the Ontario Medical Association.

She is also a member of the American Society for Reproductive Medicine. In his practice, Dr. Corbett treats patients in all aspects of reproductive care as well as early obstetrical care. Her research interests have mostly centered on the development of risk-free procedures for the use of modern reproductive technologies, with a particular emphasis on the avoidance of ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome. She is an outspoken advocate for LGBTQ rights and is committed to ensuring that all members of the community have equal access to and receive the same high-quality fertility care. Dr. Corbett has advanced surgical abilities in minimally invasive surgery, including laparoscopy and hysteroscopy, and he holds privileges at Credit Valley Hospital in Mississauga.

His work has been published in a number of different highly-rated medical journals. Teaching is something that Dr. Corbett is very passionate about, and he has been actively involved in the training and evaluation of medical students and residents. She is a member of the examining staff of the REFINE course, which serves to yearly prepare Fellows for the gynecologic reproductive endocrinology and infertility specialty examinations administered by the Royal College. Outside of medicine, Dr. Corbett enjoys activities such as running, skiing, and spending time in the kitchen as well as socializing with her friends and family.
