Ray Smith Obituary, Man, 65, of New Carlisle Has Died

Ray Smith Obituary, Death – On April 10, 2023, Ray L. Smith, 65, of New Carlisle, died. The late Robert and Audrey (Barney) Smith, Sr. gave birth to him in Dayton on May 8, 1957. In addition to his parents, Ray was predeceased by his sister Mary Broadstock and his brother Ralph Dean Smith.

His wife Jodee Smith, his children Todd (Peggy) Smith, Melissa (Matt) Shaw, Christopher Smith, Kaycee Runyan, Codee Arthur, and Madison Bayerlein, as well as his brother Robert (Betty) Smith, Jr., countless nieces, nephews, other relatives, and close friends, all survive him.

After 42 years of employment with J&B Transmission on Valley Street in Riverside, Ohio, Ray retired. Ray cherished going to several NASCAR races and Bengals games when he was younger. At Grand Lake St. Mary’s, he spent his retirement boating, fishing, and socializing with his family and friends. Ray belonged to Dayton’s AmVets Post 24.

At the Newcomer Funeral Home, Kettering Chapel (3940 Kettering Blvd, Kettering, 45439), where the family will greet visitors on Friday, April 14, 2023, from 6 to 8 PM, a funeral service will start at 9:30 AM on Saturday, April 15. Following the service, burial will take place in Dayton’s Calvary Cemetery.
