Peter Prudhomme Obituary, Portland, Oregon, Peter Prudhomme Has Died

Peter Prudhomme Obituary, Death –  Peter Prudhomme, died on March 8, at his home, surrounded by family and friends, after a long and valiant fight with cancer. Peter Prudhomme, the son of the late Paul and Evelyn (Hince) Prudhomme, was born on June 11, 1955. He grew up on the family farm outside Crookston, Minnesota, and graduated from Crookston High School in 1974. He began to work for Crystal Sugar as a welder and mechanic after high school for over 37 years until the lockout.

He subsequently continued to work for Titan as a header mechanic until he had to retire in August 2019 due to health issues, but he would always go and help them whenever they phoned. Peter possessed an unrivaled work ethic. He took satisfaction in providing for his family and gave his all to his work. There was no such thing as putting up less than 200% effort on anything. On July 2, 1977, Peter married Carrie Walker at St. Peter’s Catholic Church in Gentilly, Minnesota. They settled in Crookston, Minnesota, where they raised their three children, Dana, Andrea, and Jenna. Tim was a loving husband, father, and grandfather who treasured every moment he could spend with his family.

Nothing on this planet meant more to him than his six lovely grandchildren. He enjoyed teaching them, spoiling them, teasing them, rocking and snuggling them, and sharing his love of the outdoors with them. He enjoyed being outside in his spare time, whether it was riding his Harley, water skiing, camping, snowmobiling, golfing, or working in his yard. Peter enjoyed assisting others in any way he could. There is no one he would refuse and would go to tremendous lengths to assist. His selfless heart, love of dialogue and people, tremendous work ethic, and love for the Lord are just a few of the many things that will be remembered about him. All who knew him will miss him terribly.

Peter is survived by his beloved wife of 42 years, Carrie Prudhomme of Crookston, MN; daughters, Dana Widman of Hugo, MN, Andrea Prudhomme of Crookston, MN, and Jenna (Cory) Becker of Somerset, WI; grandchildren, George Parker, Cecelia, and Oliver Widman, Cora Prudhomme Shane, and Emma and Nora Becker; siblings, Debbie (Bill) Peterson of Crookston, MN, His parents, Paul and Evelyn Prudhomme, and brother, Ronald Prudhomme, died before him, as did his mother-in-law, Donna Murphy, brother-in-law, Daniel Ness, and nephew, Brett Walker.
