Paul Parese Obituary, Death – On April 17, 2023, Paul Christopher Parese, who resided in Hamden and was 44 years old, passed away. The 26th of September, 1978 found him being brought into the world in New Haven. His parents, John Parese (Maggie Jensen) and Joyce Ellen (Kate Sullivan) were parents.

Paul was a member of the class of 1996 at North Branford High School. After graduating from high school, he attended the University of Connecticut and received his bachelor’s degree in 2001. Earlier in his career, he held a position at Total Mortgage where he was responsible for the origination of loans. Paul was a die-hard supporter of the New York Yankees. He had a reputation for being quick-witted and having a good sense of humor.

Paul was known for his kind nature; he was quick to offer encouraging words, encouragement, and a helping hand whenever he was needed. Makayla Parese was the apple of Paul’s eye, and he loved her with all of his heart. Paul was a proud father. His favorite pastime was spending time with her and coaching her many sports teams, including baseball, basketball, and soccer. Beloved brother of John Michael Parese (Lyn Balsamo), Matthew Parese, and Marla Dakin (Kevin), as well as Laura and Matthew Parese. Additionally, he is survived by his former wife, Donna Cusano Parese, as well as his nieces and nephews, Michael and Ava Dakin, Salvatore, Emilio, and Molly Parese.

The Havens Family, North Haven Funeral Home, located at 36 Washington Avenue, will be open for visitation on Wednesday, April 26 from 4 to 7 o’clock in the evening. On Thursday, April 27, at noon, a Christian burial Mass will be celebrated at St. Elizabeth of the Trinity Parish at St. Barnabas Church, located at 44 Washington Avenue in North Haven. In lieu of flowers, Paul’s family requests that random acts of kindness be performed in his honor in place of traditional memorial tributes.
