Patricia Pipkins Obituary, Death – Earl Julian and Ida Mae (Rudd) Garrett had Patricia “Patti” June (Garrett) Pipkins on June 25, 1928, in Henryetta, Oklahoma. Patti, 94, died Friday evening, April 21, 2023, surrounded by her family.
She graduated from Eufaula High School in 1946 after moving from Hanna Schools her sophomore year. Patti graduated from Christian College in Columbia, Missouri, and the University of Oklahoma.
She married high school love Maurice “Chi Chi” Leon Pipkins Jr. They went to Florida after Chi Chi joined the Navy. Patti and Chi Chi started their family and company in Eufaula after his discharge.
Patti retired as County Administrator from the Department of Human Services. She worked hard as a social worker and administrator to get McIntosh County Department a new building. Patti was a member of PEO Chapter T and several Eufaula committees.
Patti was United Methodist. She cleaned, shined, and prepared for communion at her church. She enjoyed her church assignment alone time. Patti adored retirement! She was Mrs. Heritage 2018. Patti’s 90th birthday party that year was a huge success, which she treasured.
Patti is survived by her daughters, Jan Pipkins, Karin Pipkins, and Marcy Lynn Pipkins Aquino; grandson, Rodney Powell; great grandchildren, Daxton and wife Heather, Dakota, Tayler, Hunter Powell and wife Heather; great great grandchildren, Wyatt, Cashlynn, Kollyns, Charlotte, Bennett, and Daxton Jr.; granddaughter, Stacy Atwood and husband Justin; great grandchildren, Justus, Riley, Daniel, Madison, and Taylor; grandson, Julian Shane Allen Aquino and wife Her husband, Maurice “Chi Chi” Leon Pipkins Jr., parents Earl and Ida Mae Garrett, and granddaughter Portia Aquino predeceased her.
