Ovid Gopaul Obituary, Death – We were all taken aback when we learned of the passing of Ovid Gopaul, better known by his stage name, Redman. It is with great sadness that we write to inform you of his passing. Everyone in our community liked and respected him, and he had a lot of fans there. This information is being shared with you despite the fact that we feel nothing but the greatest amount of regret on our end. We are sorry for the trouble this may cause. A doting father of Javid, Jeremiah, Jayden, and Ashley, who are all Gopaul children, and a devoted husband to Vidya Gopaul, who is his wife. Vidya Gopaul adores him.
Son of Mohanie (Doris) and Hemnarine (Chine) Gopaul, he is the brother of the late Tulsie D. Gopaul (Ramo) and the late Devendranauth (Boysie) Gopaul. He is also the brother of the late Hemnarine Gopaul. Tulsie D Gopaul (Ramo) and her late husband Devendranauth Gopaul, commonly known as Boysie, have both gone away. Boysie was Tulsie’s nickname for her late husband. In addition, he has two sisters who go by the names Parbattie (whose name is pronounced “Buckey”) and Sunita Shahzaman (whose name is pronounced “Baby”). Both of these names are derived from their given names.
