Orlando Olivarez Obituary, Death- On the morning of Friday, April 21, 2023, at Rio Grande Regional Hospital in McAllen, Orlando E. Olivarez abruptly passed away. When his name was finally called, he was 60 years old.
Rio Grande City was the location where Orlando’s birth took place on July 30th, 1962. He received his high school diploma from San Isidro in the year 1980. He received his Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Texas A&I University in Kingsville, where he studied business administration. After that, Orlando completed his studies at Pan American University and received an Alternative Teacher Certification. Between Rio Grande City ISD and Mission CISD, he racked up a combined total of 34 years of experience as an elementary school educator.
Orlando, a passionate hunter, looked forward to the annual deer season with great anticipation. Even though he enjoyed sports very much, his family was always his top priority. He enjoyed barbecuing and spending as much time as possible with them establishing memories. Not only was he an amazing husband and parent, but he was also a wonderful son, brother, uncle, and friend. He was the best at everything he did in life. There was nothing that you could ask of him that he wouldn’t do for you, and he did it all with a smile on his face. There was nothing that you could ask of him that he wouldn’t do for you. His memories will live on in our hearts forever as a reminder of the golden heart he possessed.
His parents, Heralio Olivarez and Hilda Olivarez, as well as his sister, Norma Juarez, all passed away before Orlando. He is survived by his devoted wife of 31 years, Anna, his sons Orlando and Rene, his nieces Denise McCollum and Norie Juarez, and his in-laws, who loved him as if he were one of their own children. He is also survived by his nephews Daniel McCollum and Rene Juarez.
