Nancy Detert Obituary, Death – On the following Saturday, April 29, the body of Nancy Detert, who passed away recently, will be laid to rest in the Epiphany Cathedral in Venice. Detert served as a state senator and commissioner for Sarasota County during her life. That day will be the one in which the service, which will adhere to the tenets of the Christian religion, will be held. Formerly a member of the Board of County Commissioners for Sarasota, Nancy Detert has held that position in the past.
