Nancy Detert Obituary, Death – On the following Saturday, April 29, the body of Nancy Detert, who passed away recently, will be laid to rest in the Epiphany Cathedral in Venice. Detert served as a state senator and commissioner for Sarasota County during her life. Formerly a member of the Board of County Commissioners for Sarasota, Nancy Detert has held that position in the past.
