Michael Tancredi Obituary, Death- On April 29, 2023, Michael James Tancredi, 53, of Media, Pennsylvania, died quietly as a result of complications brought on by acute pancreatitis.
His disease struck suddenly, catching his loved ones and friends off surprise and leaving us inconsolable. On November 11, 1969, Michael was born in Media to parents Louis A. Tancredi and Anne Norpel Tancredi. Michael continued his education at Temple University to study business administration after earning his diploma from Penncrest High School in 1988. Michael studied abroad in Italy while in college and became proficient in the language. He then taught Italian and won the hearts of his pupils. He read much to keep learning throughout his life and had a great deal of curiosity, which led to several questions.
Michael made friends all over the world and loved to travel. He loved playing cards and passing along his knowledge of his favorite card game, Scopa. Every time you met him, he had a new joke to tell you, and he was quick to think of awful puns on the moment. His humorous impressions made his family laugh, and his a cappella singing performances at the yearly Tancredi Talent Show made him the star of the show. Michael was renowned for his friendliness.
He valued relationships and cherished his time with the numerous individuals in his life. Michael was an easy laugher and talker, a kind and loyal friend to everyone he knew. Michael, who was referred to as the “king of the highways,” was always willing to travel by car to see his friends and family. Michael was a devoted sports supporter of the Philadelphia Eagles and could gush for hours about them. He was a born provider for everyone and had a large network of friends, acquaintances, and coworkers. We all have many wonderful memories of Michael, and we already mourn him dearly.
Michael’s mother, Anne N. Tancredi, and his older brother, Jon G. Tancredi, both passed away before him. He is survived by his father, Louis A. Tancredi (Maureen M. Tancredi), brothers Tony Tancredi, Lou Tancredi, Steve Tancredi, Shaun Miller, and Michael Miller (Carolyn Miller), sisters Maria Zerr (John Zerr), Anne Lenicky (Alex Lenicky), and Susan Waters (Dale Waters), as well as his beloved nephews and nieces, Shane, Siena, and Willow Zerr, Christina and Matthew Tan
