Lily Sadler Obituary, Longtime Member Of Airdrie Minor Basketball Association Has Died

Lily Sadler Obituary, Death – We like to express our deepest condolences to Lily’s family and friends on the demise of Lily Sadler (Quong), who passed away on April 17th, 2023. She was 63 years old. Lily was surrounded by a large number of her family, friends, and other loved ones. On February 21st, 1960, Lily was welcomed into the world in Swift Current, Saskatchewan. She ultimately settled in Airdrie, Alberta, where she remained for more than 35 years after moving there.

As a mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, Lily was known for her warmth, generosity, and sense of humor. She volunteered her time with the Airdrie Minor Basketball Association, the Airdrie Volleyball Club, the Boys and Girls Club, and a great number of other organizations located all around the town.
Her children, Nigel (Sarah), Devan (Amy), and Brandon (Nadia), as well as her grandchildren, Rayne, Amira, Vann, Aiden, and Ethan; her siblings, Marie (John), Sam (Pansy), Joan (Vincent), and John (Bonnie); and a large number of other relatives, friends, and honorary children, will fondly remember and grieve her passing.

The deaths of Lily’s parents, Ying Tang Quon and Suey Kin Quong occurred at an earlier age. On Sunday, April 23rd, 2023, at 2:00 PM, a Memorial Service will be conducted at Foster’s Garden Chapel, which is located at 3220 – 4 Street NW in Calgary (just across the street from Queen’s Park Cemetery). After the funeral, there will be a gathering to celebrate Lily’s life at the Toad ‘n’ Turtle Pubhouse & Grill located at 1900 Market Street in Airdrie at five o’clock in the afternoon. The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the kind medical professionals at both Foothills Medical Centre and Peter Lougheed Hospital. Donations in memory of the deceased may be donated to the Boys and Girls Club of Airdrie in lieu of sending flowers.
