Leilene Fonseca Missing – Leilene Fonseca, a San Jose, California resident, has been missing for some time. On social media, there is a post that says, “Hey, #BayArea! We are raising awareness for the Fonseca family in San Jose, who just lost their daughter Leilene. Her family is a fan of the station, so we’re reaching out to everyone in the hopes that you can help us find one of our own. Please call the authorities if you have any information or have seen Leilene, who has been missing since April 19, 2023.

In San Jose, California, I became disoriented. Leilani is a first-generation college student at the University of Michigan, where she is pursuing a double major in sociology and psychology with a minor in law, justice, and social change. When she completes her bachelor’s degree, Leilani intends to continue her studies by enrolling in a dual degree program (MPP and JD). She is resolved to pursue a career centered on the advancement of women’s equal rights.

She is the director of University Students Against Rape on campus, as well as the primary researcher for a lab that analyzes how institutions respond to complaints of sexual assault. She interned with the National Individuals’ Political Caucus last summer, where she supported female pro-choice individuals, produced news releases, and fought for the “my body, my data act.” Leilani cherishes her Latina identity, and she volunteers for many organizations that advocate for Latinx students on campus during her time at the University of Michigan. She has received the HSF Scholar Award three times and was recently named a Latinx44 Scholar.
