Khalia Smith Obituary, Death – The Hoover Police Department has received information indicating that a person was killed after a vehicle crashed with a number of trees on Wednesday evening close to the intersection of County Road 52.

At around 11:30 o’clock in the evening, a call was placed to the Hoover 911 center to report a collision that had taken place on Shelby County Road 13 involving a single vehicle.

Law enforcement officials and emergency medical personnel from Hoover and Helena arrived at the area where the incident occurred and quickly discovered that the victim had already passed dead.

The Hoover Police Department’s traffic officers, after conducting an investigation into the collision, came to the conclusion that the car had been attempting to maneuver a bend at the time it went off the roadway and impacted many trees.

This was the decision reached after the officers had conducted an investigation into the crash. Khalia Smith, an 18-year-old female who attended Helena High School and was now enrolled in the 12th grade, has been confirmed as the victim.
