Joyce Kimber Obituary, Death – We are deeply sorry to tell you of the demise of Joyce “Jan” Kimber, a member of IATSE Local 212. On Saturday, May 6, 2023, at 2:00 o’clock in the afternoon, there will be a Celebration of Life conducted at McInnis & Holloway (Park Memorial, 5008 Elbow Drive SW, Calgary, AB). After the viewing, there will be a reception held in the Hospitality Centre located within the Funeral Home.

On Sunday, April 2, 2023, at the age of 92 years, Joyce Kimber died away. She was a resident of Airdrie, Alberta. On August 31, 1930, she entered the world in Exeter, Ontario. She first settled in Goderich, Ontario, then relocated to Victoria, British Columbia, then Calgary, Alberta, and finally Airdrie, Alberta. Joyce wed Gordon Brown, and the couple went on to have four children. After that, Joyce tied the knot with Leslie Kimber.

She was a volunteer for the Bearspaw Golf Club Junior Program and a member of the Alberta Jewellery Travellers Association, The Bay’s Bridal Local 470, Teamsters Local 362, and IATSE Local 212. In addition, she was a member of the organization. Joyce had a remarkable life and was able to achieve a great deal during it. She was especially pleased with her success in the jewelry business, as a model, in the theater, and on screen.

Vacations spent traveling the world with Leslie, as well as visits with her family to Palm Springs, California, and Maui, Hawaii, stand out as Joyce’s most cherished travel experience. Her wit, humor, unflappable spirit, and resolve in any given circumstance will be the things that people remember her for the most.
Joyce is survived by her two daughters, Sandra Fynn of Calgary, Alberta, and Valerie Brown of Cochrane, Alberta; one son, Michael Brown of Cochrane, Alberta, and daughter-in-law Karen Brown of Calgary, Alberta; six grandchildren, Craig Marshall of Calgary, Alberta, Karmen Brown of Calgary, Alberta, Ashley Janzen of Airdrie, Alberta, Blair Brown of Calgary, Alberta, and Brendan Fynn (Christy Schueller) of Calgary, Alberta; four great-grand
