John Christman Obituary, Death- I must tell you with a sorrowful heart that John Christman, a longtime member of our organization and a former Chief, died away this morning.

It is with a heavy heart that I have to break the news to you about his passing. It is with regret that I must share all of this information with you. Over the course of the past few months, as he has battled against his illness, he has demonstrated an incredible amount of bravery and resilience in the face of adversity. Unfortunately, there is a greater need for an additional firefighter in Heaven than there is here on Earth.

During this trying time, please keep every member of his family in your thoughts and prayers as they navigate the treacherous terrain of grief. They require as much aid as they are able to get their hands on at the moment. In the next days and weeks, we ask that you remember John Christman’s family and all of his fire family members at the Lowville Fire Department Inc.

John was a well-respected firefighter who was well-known across Lewis County and even further afield for his efforts for the business. John was also well recognized for his contributions to the industry even further afield. From this point forth, we will continue, and may God rest your soul, John.
