Jesse Mier Obituary, Death – Buffalo native Jesse Alan-Thomas Mier, 25, passed away at Baptist Health Hardin in Elizabethtown on April 16, 2023.
Jesse was born on February 28, 1998, in Hardin County, but he grew up in LaRue County. Jesse was a city lad at heart who took great pride in his work as a builder. He would spend his free time hiking, caving, backroading, relaxing by the creek, and watching the sun set in the woods.
Jesse would be the first to admit that he wasn’t perfect, but he always had someone’s back if they needed it. He was a Christian who read the Bible in places where people desperately needed to hear God’s word.
Gladys Meredith, his great-grandmother, and Thomas Mier, his grandfather, both passed away before he was born. His death has devastated his family and friends, including his parents Resha Meredith Mier and Brian Mier, his sisters Megan Mier and Brittany (Andy) Fain, his niece Alyssa Cochran, and his grandparents Mary Ann Meredith, W.T. Meredith, and Martha Mier. He also leaves behind a dog.
Funeral services for the “Simple Man” will be held at 3 p.m. on Sunday, April 23, at the Bennett-Bertram Funeral Home in Hodgenville, with Bro. Shannon McCubbin officiating in accordance with the deceased’s wishes.
He will be laid to rest on the property he has lived on since childhood. The funeral home will be open for visitation on Sunday from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Donations can be sent to Gideons International, P.O. Box 25, Hodgenville, KY 42748, or given to the family to help with funeral costs.
