Jeffrey Ransom Obituary, Death – On Tuesday, April 25, 2023, a house fire in Brownsburg claimed the life of 49-year-old Jeffrey “Jeff” Knoll Ransom. Penny, Jeff’s beloved puppy, died in the blaze as well.

Jeff Ransom was born on March 10, 1974, to Richard Keith Ransom and Nancy Jean (Knoll) Ransom, in La Porte, Indiana.

Lawrence “Knoll” Ransom of Brownsburg, his parents Richard and Nancy Ransom of Kent, Ohio, two sisters Jennifer (Jeffry) Branthoover and Julie (Josh) Chaney, all of Ohio, and a brother John (Candice) Ransom of Kent, Ohio, as well as ten nieces and nephews, all survive him.

Christina Ransom, Jeff’s sister, as well as Harold and Betty Knoll, his maternal grandparents, and Arthur and Lois Ransom, his paternal grandparents, all passed away before Jeff did.

Jeff was an auto parts salesman for NAPA (Genuine Parts Corporation) for almost two decades.

Knoll, Jeff’s kid, was the light of his life. Jeff cherished his loved ones, and they in turn cherished him. He had a passion for the arts, especially for music, film, automobiles, and the kitchen.

On May 1 at 11:00 a.m. (CST), Father Nate Edquist will preside over a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Peter Catholic Church. Pine Lake Cemetery will be used for the burial.

Visitation will be held at Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center on Sunday, April 30, 2023, from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. (CST), and again on Monday, May 1, 2023, from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. On Monday at 10:45 a.m., a procession will leave the funeral home and head to St. Peter’s Catholic Church.
