Jeff Proctor Obituary, Death – Jeffrey “Jeff” Proctor died suddenly at his home in Ocala, Florida. He was many people’s son, brother, grandson, uncle, cousin, and friend. He was a son, brother, grandchild, uncle, cousin, and friend who was humorous, kind, protective, and sensitive. He was affectionately referred to as “Powerhouse,” a moniker bestowed upon him by his late grandfather due to his excessive confidence.
Jeff Proctor was born in Red Bank, New Jersey on June 21st to Susanne and Joseph Proctor. He was born in New Jersey and moved to Georgia in 1990. Jeff has participated in a variety of sports, including baseball, football, mixed martial arts, and soccer, and he holds a black belt in Isshinryu Karate. He went to Camden County High School, where his main love was mentoring his soccer teammates and where he established many lifetime friends. After high school, he entered the food and beverage industry, completing bartending school and learning everything he could about cooking various cuisines.
He rapidly discovered an undiscovered aptitude for cooking, and he enjoyed making others happy through the meals he prepared and the conversations he had with so many of his customers. Whether he was a cook, kitchen quarterback, or restaurant management, he had an unquestionably strong work ethic. In April 2019, Jeff relocated to Ocala, Florida to assist his father, who required emergency surgery. Because of his sensitive and protective nature, he knew he had no alternative but to uproot his life and relocate to care for his parents.
Jeff enjoyed playing golf and bowling with pals in his spare time. His competitive spirit drove him to try for a perfect 300 game, which he never achieved but came close to accomplishing. He also liked to draw, decorate pumpkins, and construct legos with his darling niece CJ, of whom he was very proud. He was often talking about and looking forward to meeting his nephews Austin and Wyatt, who live in Texas.
Jeff’s parents, Susanne and Joseph Proctor of Ocala, Florida, survive him. Joe Proctor lives in Corinth, Texas, with his older brother and sister-in-law, Brandi Proctor. Jennifer Wright, his baby sister, and James Wright, his brother-in-law, are both from St. Mary’s, Georgia. Angelo and Catherine LaBruno of The Villiages, Florida, are his maternal grandparents. Candy (Jeff’s Godmother) and Bill Frank, Cathie and Bill Livesey, and Jill and Bill Roth are among the aunts and uncles. His niece is Cylee-James (CJ) Wright, and his nephews are Austin and Wyatt Proctor. Denise, Jason, Peter, and Cheryl Ziemak, Katie, William, and Kristen Livesey, and William Frank are cousins. Jeff was predeceased by his paternal grandparents, Stanley and Constance Proctor, as well as his aunt, Marie Ziemak.
