Heather Walker Obituary, Celtics Executive Heather Walker Dies Of Battle With Brain Cancer

Heather Walker Obituary, Death – A member of the Boston Celtics front office who was battling brain cancer and dedicated her time and energy to helping raise money and awareness for the disease has passed away.

According to Walker’s family, Heather Walker, who was 52 years old and served as the vice president of public relations for the Celtics, passed away on Wednesday.

In July 2021, Walker was given a diagnosis of stage 4 glioblastoma. “She is no longer engaged in battle and may at at last get some rest. A message on her Move 4 Heather fundraising attempt stated, “She is with so many who have gone before her that I’m sure she was welcomed with open arms.”

After receiving her cancer diagnosis, Walker enrolled in a clinical study that was testing a vaccine that was created expressly to combat her particular form of the disease.

In the interview that took place in 2021 with Maria Stephanos, Walker expressed how thrilled she was when she found out that the vaccine was finally ready.

Walker’s Move 4 Heather fundraising initiative, in collaboration with The Jimmy Fund, encouraged participants to do something that moves them – anything from skydiving to climbing a new trail – and take a photo or video of this bucket list item being checked off, publishing it with the hashtag #m4h. The funds raised will go toward Heather’s medical expenses.
