Geoffrey Barnett Obituary, Death – Geoff was well-known in the Little Athletics community for his work as a devoted aide to his father, Lawrie Barnett OAM, who was one of LAVic’s most decorated volunteers.

Geoff’s father was one of the most distinguished volunteers in LAVic’s history. It is safe to say that Geoff’s father holds a place among the LAVic’s most illustrious past volunteers.

The members of the Little Athletics group rapidly became familiar with Geoff due to the fact that Geoff’s father aggressively involved his son in many of Lawrie’s responsibilities to the organization.

In recent years, Lawrie and Geoffrey have played an especially prominent role in coordinating the medal presentation ceremonies that take place at EMR and State championship events.

These ceremonies are held at events that are considered to be championships in their respective states. These events take place at a wide variety of locations all around the United States.
