Franklin Buckner Obituary, Death – Franklin Dee Buckner, age 64, of Rising Star, Texas, lost his battle with severe health conditions on April 18, 2023 and passed away unexpectedly.
Dee was born in Levelland, Texas, on September 13, 1958, but he spent his early life in South Texas before moving back to West Texas when he was a teenager. Dee’s birthday is September 13.
He graduated with the Class of 1980 from Texas A&M University, where he was known for being an outspoken and proud Aggie, as well as a member of C-1 and Parsons Mounted Cavalry in the Corps of Cadets and the Head Stack of the ’79 Bonfire.
He then went on to experience a life full of adventures and antics with friends and family, including participating in sheep dog trials, chuckwagon cuisine, the creation of magnificent saddles, the rearing of children and fawns in the deer barn, and the pursuit of ever-more-ambitious dreams.
He never came across somebody he didn’t know, and he never ran out of things to say. They had been married for close to four decades when she died. They went on to raise three children, Beth, Katie, and Clay, and then received an unexpected blessing in the form of Jaelynn, Jaden, and Gaebriel in 2009, and then added Zoie to their family in 2011 to round out their brood.
His wife Donna, their seven children, and his sister Tammy Albrecht are the only ones to survive him. His parents, Buddy and Jackie Buckner, passed away before he did, and he followed in their footsteps.
At the Rising Star First Baptist Church in Rising Star, Texas, on the 23rd of April, 2023, at three o’clock in the afternoon, there will be a Celebration of Life conducted in honor of the deceased.
