Francis Halagan Obituary, Death – After a protracted and difficult battle with his disease, Francis Halligan passed away on Tuesday, at the Albany Medical Center, where he was receiving treatment. Frank spent all of his childhood years in Watervliet, where he also completed his schooling, including earning his high school diploma from Watervliet High School in 1974.
At that point, he concluded his studies at Hudson Valley Community College and enlisted in the military to serve his nation. He was then able to apply his education effectively. Frank lived in Plattsburgh for a significant amount of time after moving there from another region before settling permanently in Watervliet.
He first worked as a janitor at Watervliet High School to gain experience in the workforce, after which he went on to work in the dairy sections of the Walmart stores in Plattsburgh and Albany, respectively. In addition, he worked as a security guard at the Tobin Packing Company.
Frank was fairly artistically gifted and enjoyed doing crossword puzzles in his own time. He also had some of the most beautiful handwriting you’ve ever seen. He most eagerly anticipated watching the New York Mets, Notre Dame Fighting Irish, and Miami Dolphins play in sports. He’d always hoped to go to Ireland at some point, and he’d never given up on that desire. Through his entire life, Dolly in particular held a special place in his heart. He had a deep bond with each and every animal.
