Eric Ransom Obituary, Death- The news of our brother, Detective Eric Ransom #461, having passed away last night has left us in a state of profound grief. After graduating from the Essex County Police Academy in 1994, Detective Ransom started his career as a member of the law enforcement community.
with the Nutley Police Department. Detective Ransom was reassigned to the Woodbridge Police Department in 1999, where he worked in the radio patrol division. Later on in his career, he was given a position with the Juvenile Aid Bureau, which is where he worked as a detective for the majority of his career. Since that time, he has become known as the Junior Police Academy’s “face,” since he has been the primary drill instructor for the institution for more than ten years.
