Elijah Vallier Obituary, State Police Seek Witnesses To Fatal I-84 Crash In Southington

Elijah Vallier Obituary, Death – An accident that occurred on Wednesday afternoon and caused the closure of Interstate 84 for several hours claimed the life of a man from New Britain.

The collision took place on eastbound Interstate 84 just before 4:30 p.m., close to Exit 30. According to the state police, a man driving a Tesla in the left lane drove for an unexplained cause into the center lane and into the right lane, where the car collided with a Ford F-250 Super Duty pickup traveling in the right lane. The accident occurred when the Tesla was in the right lane. After the incident, the driver of the pickup truck apparently lost control of the vehicle and drove into oncoming traffic, into the median, rolled over, and then struck a metal guardrail, according to the police.

The pickup truck found itself on the left shoulder of westbound Interstate 84. The driver, named as Elijah Vallier, 24, from New Britain, was pronounced dead at the site of the accident. According to state police, neither the driver of the Tesla nor a passenger in the vehicle sustained any injuries.
