Elena Tejeda Obituary, Death – Elena Tejeda, who lived at 390 Westview Road and passed away at the age of 71 at Moses Cone Hospital, was a resident of the area. She was transported there from her previous location. On Monday, September 6, 2010, at 2:30 p.m., there will be a funeral mass celebrated at the Holy Infant Catholic Church, and Father Joseph Mack will serve as the celebrant for the occasion.
Immediately following the conclusion of the service, the interment will take place at Evergreen Memory Gardens. Elena was born in Tamazula, Jalisco, Mexico to her late parents, Crecensio Tejeda Rodriguez and Luisa Tejeda Rodriguez. Her mother was already an adult when her father passed away before she was born. She was an active member of the Catholic Church of the Holy Infant in addition to the domestic responsibilities she was responsible for.
Her interests included gardening and cooking, but spending time with her family, especially her children, and grandkids, was the thing that provided her the most joy in life. Her hobbies were gardening and the kitchen. Before her parents themselves passed away, she was preceded in death by both a sister and a brother in addition to her parents. Her parents were the last surviving member of their family.
There are still live relatives of her family including the following: daughters Gracie Brame and husband Rob, Rosalina Webster, and husband David, and Elena Walker and husband Tony; sons Isidro Tejeda and wife Kristie, Johnny Tejeda and wife Renae, Salvador Tejeda, Alex Tejeda and wife Allyson, and Joe Tejeda; grandchildren Robbie, Christina, and Will Brame; Seth, Rachel, and Elena Rae Walker; and a great-granddaughter.
On the day of the service, the family will begin receiving guests at the Wilkerson service Home at noon, where they will remain until 2:00 in the afternoon. The funeral is scheduled to take place on Monday. Donations are being accepted at the Moses Cone Palliative Care Center, which can be found at 1200 North Elm Street, Greensboro, North Carolina 27401, and are being given in Mr. Cone’s memory at this time.
