Drew Mitchell Obituary, Death – We must break the news to you with great sorrow that a member of our lacrosse family has passed away suddenly and unexpectedly.

Yesterday evening in Oxford, Mississippi, a vehicle struck and killed Drew Mitchell, a graduate from the class of 2022 who played lacrosse for 11 years with our club and others, including for a total of 11 years.

At the time, Drew was a first-year student at Ole Miss.Drew was a model of what it means to be a supportive and helpful teammate. Never once did we catch him with an expression on his face other than a grin. Everyone who had the pleasure of knowing Drew will miss him.

Tomorrow, before we begin our varsity game against Marquette, there will be a moment of silence in memory of Drew.

During this extremely trying time, we ask that you continue to keep Drew and the rest of the Mitchell family — including his parents Mitch and Melissa as well as his sister Lauren — in your thoughts and prayers.
