Dorothy Thompson Obituary, Death – Dorothy A. Thompson of Burnsville, Minnesota In the evening, Dorothy Ann Thompson, who had a long life as a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away quietly at the age of 89. David City, Nebraska is where she began her life.

Dorothy was well-known for her tenure as Campus Supervisor at Burnsville High School, where she left an impression on students with the compassionate and understanding manner in which she addressed a variety of concerns. She received her bachelor’s degree from Wayne State College in Nebraska and worked as a primary school educator in Nebraska before she had children of her own.

She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Donald D. Thompson, as well as her children Steven, Susan, Bruce, Karen, and Ann, in addition to a total of 8 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. Her parents and two brothers had passed away before her. She did not survive them. Visitation is scheduled to take place on Monday, from 4 pm to 7 pm at the White Funeral Home located at 12804 Nicolett Avenue in Burnsville.

On Tuesday, at 11:00 AM, a Mass of Burial will be performed at Mary Mother of the Church located at 3333 Cliff Road in Burnsville. A luncheon will immediately follow the service.
