Darnell Hill Obituary, Dayton Victims Killed In Crash Involving Wrong-way Driver Identified

Darnell Hill Obituary, Death – Two men from Dayton were killed early on Sunday morning after a car accident on Interstate 75 included a vehicle going the wrong way. The Ohio State Highway Patrol (OSHP) confirmed on Monday afternoon that Darnell Hill, age 38, and Joshua Davis, age 33, were the two victims who lost their lives in the collision that occurred on Interstate 75 in Butler Township.

At 1:48 in the morning, officers from the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office and the Ohio State Highway Patrol were sent to the area of northbound Interstate 75 at Needmore Road after receiving reports of a crash that involved injuries. Hill was driving south in the left lane of northbound traffic in his 2006 Cadillac DTS when he collided head-on with Davis, who was traveling north in the left lane of northbound traffic in his 2010 Kia Forte, according to the preliminary findings of the inquiry.

Following that collision, Hill’s vehicle collided with a 2017 Nissan Altima. The individual who was driving that vehicle, a resident of Troy, was not hurt in the collision. Both Hill and Davis were pronounced dead at the scene. The Harrison Township Fire Department, the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office, the Vandalia Police Department, the Ohio Department of Transportation, and the Montgomery County Coroner’s Office provided assistance to the Ohio State Highway Patrol while they were on the scene. The inquiry into the crash is still ongoing.
