Cullen Surine Obituary, Death – According to the Allen County Sheriff’s Department, a man was killed in a motorbike accident Tuesday morning. It happened soon before 3 a.m. on Leesburg Road. Police aren’t sure why his bike left the road east of O’Day Road, but it did hit a guard post before coming to a stop. The individual was discovered and proclaimed dead on the spot.
Cullen Alexander Surine, 22, was identified by the Allen County Coroner later that day. According to police, he was not wearing a helmet. The Allen County Sheriff’s Department issued the following statement:
Allen County Police Officers responded to the 7300 Block of Leesburg Road, east of O’Day Road, on Tuesday, April 25, 2023, at about 2:56 a.m., for a motorbike crash. Following the first inquiry, it was found that the male driver and lone occupant of the motorbike were traveling northwest on Leesburg Road when he veered off the north side of the roadway at the curve and impacted the guard rail for unclear reasons. The motorist was pronounced dead on the spot because he was not wearing a helmet. The Allen County Sheriff’s Department is still investigating the crash. The Allen County Coroner will announce the deceased’s identification, as well as the reason and manner of death.
Later that day, the Allen County Coroner’s Office made the following statement: The Allen County Coroner’s Office has identified and notified the next of kin of the deceased individual who died in a motorbike crash in the 7300 block of Leesburg Road, Fort Wayne, Allen County, Indiana, at around 02:55 hours on Tuesday, April 20, 2023. Cullen Alexander Surine, male, White, 22, of Fort Wayne, Indiana, has been positively identified. Mr. Surine was the rider of a motorbike that left the road and collided with a guardrail. The Arcola Fire Department pronounced Mr. Surine dead at the scene.
