Cheryl Moeller Obituary, Death – Cheryl Moeller, a beloved friend and colleague of ours who had been battling cancer for a very long time, passed away on Friday, April 14, 2023. We would like to celebrate her life and pay tribute to the way that she lived by having a memorial for her and conducting an event in her honor.
She worked in the Admission department at the University of Louisville for virtually her whole career, first in the Graduate Admission department and then in the Undergraduate Admission department. She did this work for both departments. Cheryl was given the Presidential Excellence Award for Outstanding Performance, and the university decided to present it to her because she exemplified what it meant to live one’s life in accordance with the Cardinal Principles that are supported by the institution.
In other words, the university chose Cheryl as the recipient of this award because she demonstrated what it meant to live one’s life in line with the Cardinal Principles. She had a genuine dedication to serving not only the pupils whose education she was accountable for but also the community as a whole. She was in a position within the Graduate School where it was expected of her that she would always act with the utmost honesty and integrity in everything that she did.
This was due to the position that she held in Graduate School. Cheryl has our deepest gratitude for all of the hard work and dedication that she has shown toward the University. We are grateful to her on a personal level. Everyone will experience loss in their own special way in response to her demise. During this trying time, she and her family are in our thoughts and prayers, and we are thinking about and praying for them often.
