Cathy Crawford Obituary, Death – On Thursday, April 20, 2023, Cathy J. Crawford, age 59, of Greensboro, North Carolina, died away with her family by her side. Her parents Wayne and Evelyn (Peanut) Johnson, her granddaughter Addie Zane Hinton, and her mother and father-in-law Calvin and Bonetta Crawford all passed away before she did. She is the last surviving member of her immediate family.
She is survived by her husband of 39 years, Russell Crawford, her children Christopher (Taylor) Crawford and Catie (Patrick) Hinton, as well as her grandchildren Harper Lee Hinton, Johnson Bon Hinton, and Maddie Wayne Hinton. Her children are Christopher (Taylor) Crawford and Catie (Patrick) Hinton. Along with her sister Barbara (Les) Evans, she is also survived by her brothers Bobbie (Nikki) Johnson and Johnny (Debbie) Johnson.
In addition, she has 17 great nieces and nephews in addition to her 10 living nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and children, she is survived by her sister-in-law Bonnie (Hugh) Burt.
Her family referred to her as Noni, and they showered her with an immense amount of love. She enjoyed spending time with her family, lounging in the sun, sitting by the pool, and taking naps. On May 14th, Cathy and Russell would have celebrated 40 years of marriage had they not passed away.
Her nephews Trey Brown, Chris Thomas, Brad Johnson, Cal Johnson, and Michael Johnson, along with her cousin Vernon Crawford, will serve as pallbearers at her funeral. On Monday, April 24th, 2023, at 3:30 PM, there will be a visitation, and then at 4:30 PM, there will be a church service. Both events are going to take place at the Antioch Baptist Church.
