Blake Hughes Obituary, Death – The community at South Stokes High School would like to respectfully make a request for prayers for the family of Blake Hughes, who is a member of our baseball team, plays first base, and is a senior. Blake Hughes was just diagnosed with cancer. A recent diagnosis of cancer was made regarding Blake Hughes.
We recognize that it is very challenging for us to ask for your prayers at this time; but, we are confident that they will be of tremendous assistance in the days and weeks ahead. Unfortunately, Blake passed away unexpectedly today, only a few hours before his senior night at home, which was the final regular season game played at his home field. The game was Blake’s final game as a senior. It was a sad ending to a life that had been cut far too short.
In spite of the fact that there are no words that can adequately convey how much concern we feel in a circumstance such as this one, we want you to know that Blake, Billy Hughes, and the rest of his family can always count on us to be there for them.
