Betty Stewart Obituary, Death – Betty JoAnn Stewart, 85, of Boonville, Missouri, passed away on Friday, April 21, 2023, at Riverdell Care Center in Boonville. She was surrounded by her family during her final moments.
There will be memorial ceremonies for Betty that are held exclusively for her family. Betty’s younger years were spent working as a Certified Nursing Assistant at Boone Hospital and Colonial Gardens. After that, she went on to assist her husband in the management of the company that they owned together, Carl Stewart Excavating.
Betty was a joyful person who, even up to the day she passed away, could be seen with a grin on her face and delighted in making others laugh. Everyone who knew her had affection for her. She didn’t know a soul in the street and would have gladly given the clothes off her back to anyone. She was known to be very generous to others.
Her pride and delight were her grandkids and great-grandkids. She looked forward, whenever she was able to do so, to coming to the Casino as well as to rummage sales. Betty’s husband, Carl Stewart, two grandsons, Michael Jobe and Eric Hundley, one granddaughter, Holly Malan, and two brothers, Gerald and Donald Shaddox, all passed away before she did. She is survived by her three children, Donna (Larry) Hundley, Debbie (Duane) McGuire, and Shelly (Josh) Rice, in addition to her only brother, Ted Langrehr.
She also leaves behind great-grandchildren Rylee, Henlie, and Natalie Bulen, Hadleigh Stegner, Fay, and Myra Roach, and one little boy named Braxton Clardy. Her grandchildren Katie (Terry) Bulen, Angela (Kyle) Stegner, Brittany (Chase) Roach, Abby Gander, Libby Rice, Austin Rice, Larry Dale Hundley, and John Hundley.
