Alderman McNeely Obituary, Death – According to a statement that was made public by the city of Rockford, Linda McNeely, who had served as an alderwoman for Rockford’s 13th Ward for a considerable amount of time, has left her position in that capacity. During her whole tenure on the City Council, which spanned a total of 26 years.
McNeely was well-known for the challenges that she gave to both the city administration and other members of the City Council. During this time, she was a member of the City Council. During this time, she developed a reputation for being difficult to collaborate with, which she maintained throughout the period. “Alderman McNeely was a dedicated and passionate public servant,” Mayor Tom McNamara stated in the release that was made after McNeely’s death.
The release was issued shortly after McNeely’s demise. She never ceased probing the person in her care with challenging questions that provoked in-depth introspection, and she fought tirelessly to advocate for that individual. Her loved ones, as well as those she worked with and friends, will suffer a great deal as a result of her loss.
Since the memorial ceremonies were initially planned, there has been no communication regarding their status. McNeely is the second alderman from Rockford to pass away since the start of the year 2018, and his passing was announced today. Tuffy Quinonez, an Alderman, went away unexpectedly on February 27 after having suffered a stroke earlier in the month. Isidro Barrios, who had previously served on the Winnebago County Board of Directors, was appointed by McNamara to the position of alderman for the 11th Ward after McNamara made the decision to appoint him to the office.
